Below are some of the most common questions people ask about Oxypod facial.
Carbondioxide facials improve skin oxygenation immediately following treatment, attributable to the generation of an artificial Bohr effect. Bohr effect is the blood coming to the skin surface to'neurtralise' the carbon dioxide bubbles that the pods release when the pod comes into contact with the oxygel. Each pod is selected to provide other ingredients such as vitamin C etc to give the skin more nutrition.
Anyone who wants to quickly improve the hydration of their skin, as well as anyone wanting a gentle but effective exfoliation. This facial is a safe yet powerful, non invasive way to wake up the skin.
In 1997 the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved hair removal lasers for permanent hair reduction. This means that hair removal lasers will be effective as long as the right laser and settings are applied and the appropriate number of treatments are administered. However, there is no guarantee that every hair will respond. Some hairs can be resistant to treatment and may return as thin hairs and/or may be lighter in colour.
You can have an Oxypod facial once a week for 4 - 6 weeks to get fast result and improvement in your skin. Or once a month for a good boost to clearer more hydrated skin.
Not at all. Some clients refer to this as the 'fizzy' facial. You feel the little bubbles and a gentle scrub feeling, but thats it.
There is no down time, and immediately after the treatment your skin is incredbily calm and hydrated. You may also feel a tingling sensation at the end, as the skin has been woken up and the blood is now removing waste and oxygenating your skin.
Oxypod facials can be used anywhere but especially on the back for acne and congestion. We would use the charcoal pod for clarifying and calming.
